How To Be Fearless || Don't Let Fear Stop You
Have you ever wanted to try something new, but you didn’t let yourself try it because you were scared? No, I do not mean sky diving or bungee jumping. I’m talking about things like a missed job opportunity or not doing a challenging project. We all have fears, but why do we let them control us? Here are 3 easy ways to overcome fear in your life:
When something is scary or challenging, we tend to automatically think about all of the cons of what we are trying to do. Instead of thinking about the cons, don’t think at all. The more our mind has a chance to think about the fear, the more it will psych itself out. Think one step ahead of your brain and DON’T THINK AT ALL. Instead say these words: “ I am more than capable of doing this challenge and I am strong enough to not be scared of it. I can do anything!”
Another great way to be fearless is to imagine the good possibilities. For example, let’s say I got a job opportunity working for a sales company that could benefit my career, but I am scared to talk to people. If I were fearful, I would think about the way I could stumble over my words and lose a sale opportunity, but if I was fearless, I would imagine getting a ton of sales and having great conversations with buyers. Think the fearless way. Don’t think about what could go wrong, think about what could go right. If you do find yourself thinking about what could go wrong; stop, take a deep breath, and imagine the success you will have.
I am a strong believer in manifestation and having good energy. We have to remind ourselves that we are capable of doing amazing things. When we think about the good, the good will uplift us and motivate us to work harder. When you find yourself thinking of something negative; stop yourself and switch it to a positive thought. It might seem silly at first, but it works. The smallest things can make the biggest difference.
I have been on a personal journey lately. I made it a goal of mine to not let my fears get in the way of anything. As I continue to learn what having a positive mindset is, I have already seen so many simple changes in my life. I am less moody, more confident, and more excited to try new things. I am learning that in many circumstances, I was my number one enemy. I was the one holding myself back and letting fear stop me from things I wanted to do. Once I had let go of my fear, I noticed a weight lifted off of my shoulders. I believe in myself and I am crazy confident in my capabilities now. I challenge you to let go of your fear and only think positive for 5 days. Use the steps above and tell me, in the comments below, how you feel after you got rid of your fear. I’d love to know how it went for you.
